Saw a TV commercial ....

After you vote tomorrow, go to Starbucks and tell them and they will give you a FREE tall coffee!
I saw the ad in Ohio, but I'm sure it is good throughout the country!

GO VOTE EVERYONE! biggrin.gif

Doggone it! I voted last Wednesday! No Starbucks for me. Believe it or not, I'm 40 miles from the nearest Starbucks, anyway.

Lewis Black's thoughts on Starbucks.

My friend sent me this:
"Feeling hungry after you vote? Stop by Starbucks, Ben & Jerry's, Krispy Kreme and California Tortilla with your "I Voted" sticker and receive a FREE cup of coffee, scoop of ice cream, donut, and tortilla."
Have a great day everyone!smile.gif

40 miles from the nearest Starbucks?

We have a Starbucks every 2 miles here.

The Starbucks ad...just says they are going on the honor system. They expect a large voter turnout, and think the Board of Elections will run out of stickers....

I voted, got my sticker, and plan to hit Starbucks at lunchtime. If the line is out the door, I'm not going in!

VOTE! Time for a change. :)

Just got home from voting...waited 45 minutes. When I came out line was wrapped around the building! Have never seen that at my polling location!

Remember you can't complain if you don't vote! Have a great day everyone!

I understand!  The lines were crazy here!  I was in line for a little over an hour and a half!  Crazy!

Have a nice day too!  smile

My husband and I voted, went over to Krispy Kreme and gave the kids our free donuts! It was a nice treat for them to enjoy!

Glad your kids enjoyed the donuts, Greasefan!  Were you at the one by Red Robin?  I am at Red Robin often with one of my friends whose daughter loves it there.  She loves Krispy Kreme too and often convinces her dad to go there afterwards.  smile

Yes Kristen, that is the one! We normally do Red Robin first and treat them to a donut after. But tonight, I made dinner, so we had dessert first! We made a big deal about voting to the kids and I was happy they were able to have a treat!

It is a small world!  smile  And that's great that you stressed the importance of voting to your kids.  My students got to "vote" in school the other day, and it was so funny watching them.  A lot of them had heard about the candidates from their parents though.  Older students did a little presentation on the candidates before the voting, and one boy explained how many kids each candidate has.  One of my students, in hearing about McCain's seven kids, said "Wow!!! That's a lot of kids!"  smile
