Some Fun Grease Trivia Facts From 1978 The Movie

Here's some fun and interesting trivia facts from 1978 when Grease became the movie !

For a time Grease was the third higest grossing movie of all time,behind only Jaws and Star Wars ! .............That's pretty darn impressive !


Henry Winkler who became a sensation as " Fonzie " on " Happy Days " was considered for the role of Danny Zuko.However he turned it down fearing he would be typecast !


Jeff Conaway had to walk slightly stooped so John Travolta would appear taller.

" You're The One That I Want " took just one afternoon to film!


Lucie Arnaz was first choice for the role of Rizzo but was rejected after her mother Lucille Ball refused to let her screen test at Paramount Studios. ( She wrongly claimed she used to own it )


The scene in Frenchy's bedroom while Rizzo is singing a line about Elvis,was actually filmed the same day Elvis died !.......How wierd is that ?


Due to a zipper breaking,Olivia Newton John had to be sewn into the trousers she wore in the last sequence at the carnival !
