I come bearing gifts today. I had originally set a deadline for December 19th at 7PM to deliiver news I had related to Grease. Many people jumped to some pretty serious conclusions about what the news could be and even some felt possibly threatened by it.
It's now 3 days before the deadline and I am proud to bring you the following:
After years of thought and advances in technology and the way we work together, I have paid for and secured a new web host and domain name which will be home to our new Grease home on the web. WHile it's not much now, it will become something that will live in internet infamy given the work put into it over time. I spend most of my weekend trying to complete the functionality of the site and work on a lot of the bugs that were present. Many of them still do exist but as they say in Broadway, the show must go on.
The site was created with the following in mind:
The users will be able to not only have a forum much like we have here at the grease forum related to the current stage production, but you will also be able to contribute to the information the website itself contains. I wanted the regulars on THIS board as well as other users to join me on my new site being that eventually (possibly by the end of the current National Tour), this forum will cease to exist (even if it continued, it would always be attached to just one production) My site is to be an archive of all productions both in the US and internationally from the beginning to the future where I intend on taking it.
As of now, the site only has a welcome screen, a link to the forum, and a link that describes much of what I am describing here (the site isn't as direct as this message is). There will be opportunities for all of you to become authors on my site based on what you know and your research skills to provide the casual grease fan to become very well informed on Grease on Stage. The focus of the site is centered on stage productions and to not over-glorify the movie as they did on both the reality show that brought us together and reviving Grease on Broadway with movie tunes.
There is much more to Grease than the movie and it's time the world was exposed to it more than just the movie. That being said, I open the doors and welcome all of you to my new site. Please join the forum and introduce yourselves in the Introductions Thread. A new place for you t o GET THE WORD ON GREASE! Remember forever, through the internet, "WE'LL ALWAYS BE TOGETHER"!

Let me quickly note that there is a bug on my page at the moment that prohibits me from displaying my Category with forums inside. At present, the only topic available is the introductions but this issue should be fixed very soon and we can get started full speed out of the gate. Thanks again everyone who supports the thought and idea of taking the 50's far into the new millennium beyond this site.

If I had one wish it would be for people who didn't grow up in the fifties to be able to relive and experience the way life was then. The life that is depicted in "Grease "and "Happy Days ' is pretty much the way it was.It was a simpler happier time, when people really cared about one another and music was alive and kicking. So the thought of taking the fifties well into the millennium sounds great !
Everyone, there is this thing in the internet world called spam filtering. When you register a domain name, you are at risk right off the bat at being on a black list which is what happened with me by default. Providers such as AOL, Hotmail, Yahoo and others all filter emails from being received by users with e mail accounts with those providers. The temporary solution at this point is to PM me the email address you signed up with.
I can delete your entry from the database and recommend that for the time being while I work to resove this issue (a very costly method of getting added to white lists), is for you to sign up with a free email provider that I already tested and confirmed works with registering for my site. I have emailed everyone on my site that has not gotten a confirmation email as of yet to resolve the issue. I will review this thread until everyone has a chance to get into the site successfully. Thanks for your time and understanding.

FonZuko, I did receive a confirmation email just seconds after I registered. I did confirm my email and then posted on the website. I have also received your two private emails asking me to confirm my email and check my spam email. I'm now confused. What do I need to do now??????
Thanks for your effort, but to be honest, my main attraction to this Board was the current production of Grease, so I don't think I will be signing up. Have fun over there everyone!

A solution has been applied to my new site for those of you who signed up but couldn't get in. I have deleted your information and you can now sign up again and be able to sign in immediately. I have sent out an email to everyone who did not confirm this email so by the time you read this, you should already know this.
For those of you who haven't signed up yet, please take the time to visit my site and sign up as it will both serve as a new Grease community for the internet on a much larger scale than this site can currently offer as well as become a replacement for this forum on which you are currently reading. Thanks again everyone!
