Saw Grease 2X over the Weekend
(Preview)
Had tickets for one night and got tickets for one more. Loved the show and the cast was remarkable, it was evident how well they worked together. They gave 100% of themselves on both nights and each character was portrayed perfectly. Lots of humor, great sets, dancing and singing.

Ashley's Performance in Hairspray
(Preview)
I was wondering if Derek has had a chance to see Ashley in Hairspray. I heard that Max, Laura and Nate went last winter, I think someone from the boards went and saw Jason, Kathleen and Chad there in the audience and then Matt Nolan and later Ashley Anderson and her husband went. If there was a benefit for A...

Derek now has a new website up. It's www.DerekKeeling.com. From what I could tell it looks like he's going to be doing a video blog about his rehearsal process in the show. That should be interesting.

Rehearsal Process
(Preview)
I'm wondering what the rehearsal process is like when new actors replace others during the run of a show. How much rehearsal time are they given to learn their new roles/choreography, etc? Anyone know? Thanks!

Grease goes to Shea Stadium with the Mets!
(Preview)
Monday, June 23, is Broadway night at Shea Stadium, home of the Mets. The cast (not sure who exactly or what songs) will be performing.
On Wednesday June 25, also at Shea Stadium, the T-Birds will be singing the National Anthem.
Lots to look forward to and even though I am a die-ard Yankee fan, I will...

I didn't attend the show but swung by the stage door at 4:30 to check out the crowd. The flyer on the door said Allie is filling in for Laura. Don't know about tonight or the rest of the weekend. Does anyone out there know how she did?? :)

I've never seen a group of actors spend more time signing autographs. Taylor Hicks, a true gentleman who knows how to treat his fans (I'm neither a fan nor a detractor - I'm ambivalent), must have spent a solid half hour signing programs and posing for photos. Max&Laura followed, and they spent a l...
